Glacier Point

Every time I head up to Glacier Point, I take my chance to sit atop the diving board. It is the most exhilarating experience ever being able to sit dangling your feet 3,214ft above the valley floor. You definitely can feel major vertigo when looking over and peering into the Merced River below, or seeing how tiny the cars in the parking lot at the base of the granite wall are, or even to see the tiny canvas tents hidden within the pine trees.

Fire in Alabama Hills

Within mere minutes my car was engulfed in flames. We tried saving our stuff in the car and succeeded at getting most of it out; but not everything. Ryan took off searching for cell service and I reached for my phone to call my dad. My phone said "No Service" but I figured I would try anyway. . .

Hammocking is the Best

ll let you in on a secret, for a long time I was apprehensive about hammocking before I actually caved in and bought one for myself. I just wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. When all of my friends kept saying "Oh, you need to go hammocking" I just didn't understand why you would want to just go somewhere to literally hang out and nap. Well, after my first experience hammocking back last October, I have kind of been hooked. To my surprise, it is actually one of the most relaxing and peaceful things ever. . .

Tenaya Canyon & Hidden Falls

Hidden Falls is a beautiful cluster of three waterfalls that are located on Tenaya Creek situated within Tenaya Canyon. This hike is about a 6 mile trek roundtrip but not too strenuous (if you hike a moderate amount) however you may need to scramble over some rocks due to a recent rockslide that happened on the trail. Other than that, this hike is well worth the trek because of the oasis awaiting at Hidden Falls.

Middle Earth (Yosemite Falls Inner Gorge)

To avoid the crowds, I try to get places that I know most people won't go; so when my friends Trev and Andrew told me about this place called "Middle Earth", I was intrigued. At first thought, I imagined Middle Earth from the Lord of the Rings, but was told it was even better. So we went. . .

Tuolumne Jones

They say dogs are man's best friends. I never quite understood what that meant until I adopted my dear Tuolumne Jones (TJ for short). My quirky little Border Collie x Labrador Retriever sure has been a busy handful, but he sure has captured my heart in a rad way.

Twenty - Three

Today, I'm 23. Here's my thoughts on where I had hoped to be at this age, where I actually am, and what attitude that has taught me to have for the future.
