My name is Michael Gregory and I am so glad that you have found your way to Trailmik. I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself seeing as this is the "about" page.
Here's some fun facts about me:
Now that you know all of the most compelling and interesting facts about me, I will tell you some more! I am an adventurer/photographer based in the Central Valley of California. For me, photography has always seemed so appealing. Ever since my father let me use his camera when I was around the age of 9, I have been hooked on capturing images and moments in time that evoke emotions and connect people to stories & memories. Now, roughly 15 years later, photography is still an undying passion of mine.
Beyond photography, adventure is also a passion of mine. However, it definitely wasn't until recently when taking risks became a passion. Growing up I always had a fear to go outside of my comfort zone, to adventure into unknown areas and to take risks. For many years I had no desire to adventure whatsoever. Luckily, through the seasons of life, I was challenged, encouraged, and empowered to break down those walls of fear. Now taking risks is something I love to do and even hunger for. Adventure is embedded in my being.
Long story short, that is a little about me! Now, let me tell you why I decided to start up Trailmik! I've always had a photography site (which you can check out here) and it's been great. However, now that my focus in life is more adventure centered, it's hard to be able to share those stories & experiences with everyone when I don't have an outlet to share it on. I began sharing more and more on instagram (@mike_pgregory) but I decided it was time for something more effective. So, that is why I created Trailmik, to share those stories & experiences! Of course, photography will be a big part of this site, too! So thank you for checking out Trailmik & joining in on the adventure! I hope the site can inspire and encourage you to take more risks and go out of your comfort zone to adventure.
